The perfect alternative to the en-mass catamaran sailing, Lemuria is a double masted, traditionally rigged schooner. A Schooner is a type of sailing vessel with fore-and-aft sails on two or more masts, the foremast being no taller than the rear mast(s). Lemuria offers an attentive crew, full open bar, food, tropical fruit, snorkel gear and guides.

This is an excellent opportunity to experience the abundance of marine life, feel the wonders of nature and enjoy the spectacular sunsets and lush scenery. Lemuria belongs to a family that has been living in Tamarindo for more than 12 years and sailing this beautiful Schooner, built in wood, with a great Captain Andree. Lemuria is a very well balanced sailboat that sails nice and is well handled by a minimum of two persons. Top speed under ideal sail conditions is about 8.5 knots with a top motor speed of around 5,5 to six knots.

Lemuria departs at 1:00 p.m. from the beach. The schooner then sails towards one of the most beautiful snorkeling and swimming spots in Costa Rica. There you will have the opportunity to enjoy snorkeling and swimming. The crew are friendly and knowledgeable. Their knowledge of the area, the sea, and most importantly the boat makes every moment safe and exciting. The captain and his crew are sailors first. The schooner is tip-top, it is very clear that they love the boat and maintain the schooner to a much higher standard then the other local boats.
